Miami’s Charlie Moore then converted an incredible (lucky?) bucket and drew a foul. He missed the free throw, but the Hurricanes grabbed the offensive rebound and scored a layup to take a late lead.
The Blue Devils had two shots to win in the closing seconds but both clanked off the rim to send the Hurricanes to 5-0 in ACC play.
Duke was favored at home by 15 points.
