Jodie Meeks and the Los Angeles Lakers open up tonight at 10:30 with the Dallas Mavericks in Staples Center on TNT.
Jodie wants to win a championship and you can tell he is excited about being in LA.
“It’s been great,” Meeks told HOOPSWORLD. “I’m adjusting pretty well and I’m looking forward to the season getting started. Hopefully we’re starting a journey to a championship. This is by far the most talented team I’ve played on, by far. We have four future Hall of Famers on this team as well as a great coaching staff and a great organization. This is by far the best team that I’ve played on. I’m looking forward to it.”
Meeks is excited to be part of a contender, but he knows that expectations will be high. Entering the season, it’s championship or bust for the Lakers.
“I think some people would say that,” Meeks said. “Our main goal is definitely to win a championship. With all of the talent that we have on this team and all of the veteran guys that we have on this team, I think we’re definitely going to be in the mix when it comes down to it. I’m just focused on getting better every day.”
With Kentucky having the most NBA Players, the BBN has a wide variety of teams that can cheer for.
I wish Jodie well, but there is no way I can ever root for the Lakers.
Go Celtics!!
