Patrick Patterson will be in Houston at least for 2 more seasons as the Houston Rockets picked up the option on the former Kentucky forward.
It was expected that Houston would pick up the option on Patterson, but waiting before the season opener still is a little nerve racking.
Still, there was a sense of relief Tuesday when the Rockets did the expected, picking up the options for both. Patterson will be signed for a fourth season worth $3,105,302 and Morris for a third season worth $1,987,320.
“There’s always concern,” Patterson said. “There’s no guarantees in this league. I’m definitely happy. I’m proud of myself. I look forward to the future. it’s great. It’s a big accomplishment for myself and I’m going to work every harder to be a better player and help this team have even more success.
