Stanton City Park posted the following apology on Facebook:
Stanton City Park
The Stanton City Parks and Rec Board is aware of the incident tonight at the Little League fields between parents and coaches. We are investigating and will work to make sure that this is a singular incident that will not happen again. Children’s sports leagues are meant to be fun activities where children can feel safe while learning a sport… but more importantly learn good sportsmanship. The display tonight was anything but that.
We apologize to the parents and children who witnessed the incident.
