Brandon Knight Keeping Up the Good Work

Brandon Knight and several other of his Detroit Pistons’ teammates made a trip to a couple of the fire stations in the Motor City last week for charity.

Knight spoke about wanting to ride on one of the fire engines.

“If we do that, I’m definitely looking forward to that,” the Pistons second-year point guard said this afternoon at Detroit Fire Department headquarters. “But I never really said I wanted to be a firefighter as a kid.

“It’s definitely cool what they do for the community.”

Don’t think Knight got a chance to ride on a fire engine, but he – along with Greg Monroe, Jason Maxiell and Rodney Stuckey — delivered meals to two Detroit firehouses as part of the organization’s charitable efforts.

They also dropped off jerseys – No. 9 for Engine 9 on the city’s east side and No. 40 for Engine 40 on the west side.
