Kentucky looked solid for 30 minutes, but North Carolina pulled away down the stretch to defeat the Wildcats 75-63 in the CBS Sports Classic this afternoon.
The Wildcats (1-5) spent the majority of the game in foul trouble and only managed to go 3-13 from long range in the loss.
Armando Bacot led the Tar Heels (5-2) with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
Davion Mintz led Kentucky with 17 points and 8 boards. Mintz hit all of the team’s three-pointers.

The 1-5 start to the season is Kentucky’s worst start since 1926-27.
