The Northern Kentucky men’s basketball program is reportedly dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Norse Report on Twitter, the program is dealing with at least seven positive tests:
Multiple sources have confirmed to NR that NKU MBB is dealing with an internal breakout of COVID-19.
Early this week we were told that facilities were locked down due to one case, and just this morning we were able to confirm that now up to 7 players have tested positive.

Norse Report added that the players are largely asymptomatic:
The good news is that [again] from what we were told every player who has tested positive shows no sign of sickness (asymptomatic). The AD, coaches and staff are taking this VERY seriously and keeping a close eye on the situation. That’s the most important thing. Their health.

I spoke with the parent of an NKU athlete tonight who said the outbreak is the result of a party and that at least one athlete from another program tested positive.
