A West Virginia horse named River Crosroad RVF was well on the way to victory at Charles Town Races last night.
With what was likely an insurmountable seven-length lead, the horse decided he was finished just as he turned down the home stretch.

Of course, River Crosroads RVF didn’t finish the race, despite being well on his way to breaking his maiden.
The horse (and jockey) were evaluated after the race and given clean bills of health.
