It seems Bobby Knight may have forgotten his daily meds before speaking in front of an Indiana Alumni dinner. The “Bobby Speech” also included Knight criticizing the quality of officiating in the game today, he also took a shot at the University of Kentucky’s head coach John Calipari.
Can anyone say “Hater”? It’s obvious to me that here is someone that enjoyed the limelight in the past and it’s just killing him that he’s not able to be coaching today. Knight was one of the games premier coaches at one time but the game has simply passed him up.
Here’s what Knight had to say….
“We’ve gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking and that’s why I’m glad I’m not coaching,” he said. “You see we’ve got a coach at Kentucky (John Calipari), who put two schools on probation and he’s still coaching. I really don’t understand that.
“And very few people know this, but a kid can play the first semester as a freshman, pass six hours of anything and play in the NCAA Tournament without ever attending a class in the second semester. I don’t think that’s right.”
