Kentucky quarterback Nik Scalzo was carted away from Kroger Field after what is being described as a significant injury during today’s football scrimmage.
“I’m a little bit concerned about Nik Scalzo,” head coach Mark Stoops said after the scrimmage. “We’ll see what the situation is with Nik. I feel for him right now.”
According to Stoops, Nik Scalzo went down with a knee injury today. Waiting to hear back on test results.

Scalzo is a true freshman and there was already a possibility that he would have been redshirting this season. He tore his ACL during his senior high school season.
