Terrence Jones Drops 41 Points In First Game Of Championship Series

Former Kentucky forward Terrence Jones led TNT KaTropa to a 109-96 win over SM Beermen in the opening game of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup championship series.

Jones finished with 41 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists in the win.

TNT Ka Tropa rallied past SM Beermen to take the lead in the championship series. 24 personal fouls committed by SM Beermen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Terrence Jones (206-92, college: Kentucky) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and point guard Jayson Castro-William (180-86) chipped in 20 points. At the losing side American forward Chris McCullough (208-95, college: Syracuse) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and center June-Mar Fajardo (210-89) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Five TNT Ka Tropa and four SM Beermen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
