Kerry Blackshear Jr Decision Still Up in the Air

The Kerry Blackshear Jr. transfer destination is still up in the air but it doesn’t sound like he is leaning toward going to college.

Jeff Borzello of ESPN says the signs are pointing to him keeping his name in the NBA Draft.

2. Kerry Blackshear Jr., Virginia Tech graduate transfer
Blackshear is the No. 1 graduate transfer in the country, but signs are pointing to him keeping his name in the NBA draft (he’s not ranked in ESPN’s Top 100). If he returns to college, a number of schools have interest in him — including Kentucky, Florida and others. A return to Virginia Tech is also a possibility. He would be an all-conference player regardless of where he enrolls.

Borzello also lists EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards as having big decisions.

5. EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards, Kentucky
Given Kentucky’s pursuit of Blackshear, the Wildcats might not be completely satisfied with their interior group — especially if Montgomery or Richards keeps his name in the draft. If both players return, John Calipari will have versatility and depth up front alongside Bucknell graduate transfer Nate Sestina. If both leave, Calipari will be shorthanded down low. Neither is ranked in ESPN’s Top 100.

May 29th is the decision date for players testing the waters and are still eligible to return to amateur status.

Will EJ Montgomery, NIck Richards and Kerry Blackshear Jr. all be wearing blue next season?

My guess it will be 2 of the 3.
