Despite an earlier report by Corey Evans that John Calipari had an in-home visit with Virginia Tech transfer Kerry Blackshear, his dad claims he didn’t meet with Calipari.
According to a report by Adam Zagoria:
FWIW, Kerry Blackshear Sr. told me just now he did not meet with John Calipari today. "That wasn't the case."
He said they're working on a date. "We're trying to figure that out right now as we speak.'
Story coming.

According to Blackshear, Sr., they are trying to setup a meeting with Calipari:
Virginia Tech redshirt junior forward Kerry Blackshear Jr. did not meet with Kentucky coach John Calipari on Monday, but is working on setting up a meeting.
“That wasn’t the case,” Kerry Blackshear Sr. said Monday night by phone in reference to a report his son met with Calipari.
Asked about a possible upcoming meeting, the father said, “Yes, I am [scheduled to meet with him]. To be honest, we’re trying to figure that out right now as we speak.”
He added: “Kentucky has great basketball tradition. I don’t know Coach Calipari like that, I’ll have to do some research. But you know, it’s basketball.”
As several have pointed out, it’s very possible that things are happening behind the scenes that UK doesn’t want the public to know about just yet:
Hmm. This recruitment is intriguing. Maybe it’s just a coincidence but twice there’s been reports of UK offering/visiting, but both reports were disconfirmed by the father.
Definitely seems like some folks are trying to keep things under wraps. https://t.co/fpygrr7U2H

Think it’s more likely Kentucky didn’t really want it out there yet that it was as involved as it is with Blackshear and was trying to get this done quietly. So all the on-the-record stuff is ♂️. https://t.co/T5neDXuVG7
