Reds Hit 5 Bombs to Filet the Marlins 14-0

The Cincinnati Reds blew up for 16 hits and 14 runs as they pounded the Miami Marlins 14-0 in Great American Ballpark Tuesday night.

The Reds, who have a hard time scoring runs so far this season, hit 5 homeruns on their way to an offensive explosion and improve to 2-8.

Three of the five homeruns came in back to back to back fashion in the 6th inning as Matt Kemp, Eugenio Suarez and Scott Schebler all left the yard.

Luis Castillo, who would be an All-Star if the game was tomorrow, threw 7 shut out innings with 8 strikeouts while scattering 2 hits to even his record at 1-1.

The Reds were without Yasiel Puig and manager David Bell as they were both suspended due to a bench clearing discussion in Pittsburgh. Bell will be back Wednesday night while Puig will have to sit out one more game.

The Reds will be back in action tomorrow night at 6:40pm vs. the Marlins as David Bell sends Tyler Mahle to the hill.
