John Wall will be out of basketball for one year following a surgery to repair his Achilles tendon.
Wall reportedly suffered the injury after slipping and falling in his home.

Wall was already dealing with an infection from a previous surgery in January:
Wizards say Wall developed an infection in the incision from surgery he recently had on bone spurs in his left heel. According to the Wizards’ announcement, he ruptured the Achilles recently after slipping and falling while at home.

Wall averaged 20.7 points, 8.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 32 games for the Wizards this season.
