The top 25 polls should look considerably different when they are released tomorrow as almost half of the current top 25 teams suffered losses in the last week.
Three of the top four teams and more than half of the top 15 lost in the last seven days.
Here’s a look at teams that lost (some of them lost twice):
1. Duke: Lost 95-91 at home to Syracuse
2. Michigan: Lost 64-54 at Wisconsin
4. Virginia: Lost 72-70 at Duke
7. Kansas: Lost 65-64 at West Virginia
8. Texas Tech: Lost 68-64 at home to Iowa State; lost 73-62 at Baylor
9. Virginia Tech: Lost 81-59 at Virginia
11. Florida State: Lost 75-62 at Pittsburgh; lost 87-82 at Boston College
14. Auburn: Lost 82-80 at home to Kentucky
17. North Carolina State: Lost 71-67 at Wake Forest
18. Ole Miss: Lost 83-69 at home to LSU
20. Oklahoma: Lost 74-61 as home to Kansas State; lost 75-72 at Texas
25. Indiana: Lost 66-51 at home to Nebraska; lost 70-55 at Purdue
Kentucky should certainly move into the top 10 of the AP Top 25 (currently No. 12) and possibly even the Coaches Poll (currently No. 14)
No. 8 Texas Tech is going to drop significantly after suffering two losses. No. 9 Virginia Tech will almost certainly drop out of the top 10.
No. 11 Florida State will plummet. Kentucky beat No. 14 Auburn head-to-head. The Wildcats are currently two spots behind the Tigers in the Coaches Poll.
Oklahoma and Indiana are toast.
