Kentucky Football Week 4 Bowl Projections

Kentucky is currently 4-0 and ranked #17 in the country in both major polls after a big upset of #14 Mississippi State Saturday night.

The week four bowl projections are out and Kentucky is projected for a few good bowl games.

247Sports has Kentucky taking on the Michigan Wolverines in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

Kentucky takes the biggest leap in this week’s bowl projections, going from bottom-tier SEC tie-in to the league’s top bowl after New Year’s Six invites are handed out. The Wildcats (4-0) have risen from unranked to No. 17 after Saturday’s dominant win over Mississippi State, a team we previously slotted to the Sugar Bowl. We’re all in for a possible Benny Snell vs. Michigan defensive line matchup as the Wildcats and Wolverines would be amped for a battle of wills up front. Not to discredit Michigan’s mini-win streak, the Wolverines could win up in the New Year’s Six if they keep up stellar play defensively.

A representative from the Citrus Bowl sat next to us in the press box to watch Kentucky’s win over Mississippi State.

Saturday Down South has Kentucky playing Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl in Tampa.

ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura has Kentucky playing Boston College in the Music City Bowl in Nashville and Mitch Sherman has Kentucky playing Michigan in the Outback Bowl in Orlando.

CBS Sports Jerry Palm has Kentucky playing Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis.
