Former Kentucky player Randolph Morris was taunted with racial slurs as drunken attackers tried to provoke him into a brawl in China earlier this month.

According to a report from Beijing, where Morris has been playing professional basketball for several years, some “fans” asked Morris to go drinking.

When Morris turned down the offer, he was verbally assaulted. Morris refused to physically engage the attackers.

More on the incident:

According to this Weibo source, the fight happened when an offer extended to Morris to go drinking was turned down, causing some offended basketball fans to turn on him as a crowd of onlookers watched.

In the face of all the antagonization, Morris is never seen retaliating with force, even when a friend he is protecting gets kicked. In fact, the online video shows the 6’11”-tall Morris with his hands raised above his head to prove that he isn’t going to fight back against the provocateurs that did their best to provoke him.

Although the audio from the chaotic scene is difficult to make out, one man can be clearly heard telling Morris “Get lost, n*****!” at the beginning of this video.
