The Southeastern Conference released a statement late last night about the injury that occurred to Mississippi State’s Nick Weatherspoon.
According to the statement, all three referees failed to notice that Weatherspoon was down on the court.
Of course, they allowed play to continue and Weatherspoon ended up suffering a serious neck injury when he was kicked in the face.

The great news is that Weatherspoon is out of the hospital this morning:
UPDATE | @Nick_Gotti0 is out of hospital and back with the team at the hotel. The CAT scan showed no concussion, but he’ll undergo a CT scan as a precautionary measure back home later today for a possible fractured pelvic bone. #HailState
