Kyle Tucker spoke to Kevin Knox’s father this morning and he denies meeting with agents as outline in this morning’s report by Yahoo! Sports.
Here is an excerpt of his comments:
Asked if his son will play Saturday against Missouri, Knox Sr. said, “As of right now, yeah, because those are just allegations.” He added that he’s spoken to officials at Kentucky since the report published early Friday morning and “they haven’t told us anything [about Knox’s eligibility], so I guess you’d say the situation is still fluid at this point in time.”
What happens next is unclear — Cats coach John Calipari was scheduled to meet with the media to preview UK-Mizzou at 2:15 p.m. Friday — but Knox Sr. said his family has nothing to worry about.
“When you say do I feel good going forward, I’ve never met them, so yeah, I feel great,” he said.
