Former UK center Daniel Orton is returning to Lebanon’s top-level LBL league. Orton has signed with Champville for the remainder of the season.
Orton had been playing for SeaHorses in Japan’s B League. He averaged 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game there in 36 games.

Champville (LBL) inked 27-year old American forward Daniel Orton (208-116kg-90, college: Kentucky). It is actually his comeback to Dik El Mehdi as he has played here before. Orton started the season at SeaHorses in Japanese B League. In 36 games he averaged 11.8ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.1apg this season. The last summer Orton played at Hitech in Thailand TBL where in 19 games he had 14.6ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.2apg, 1.1spg and 1.2bpg. A very good season in his career as he was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand Basketball League 2nd Team.
In 2010 Orton was drafted by Orkando Magic (NBA) in first round (29th overall). The former University of Kentucky standoutis in his eighth season in pro basketball.
