The University of Louisville has parted ways with Mark Jurich and two others as part of a “restructuring” in the athletics department.
Mark is the son of fired former AD Tom Jurich.
Here are more details on the latest move:
It is with great sadness that I let you know I was asked to leave UofL today. I want to thank the thousands of friends I have made as a student-athlete, administrator and fan. While the past 3 months have been difficult, nothing will change my love for this amazing University.

Mark Jurich and two others have left the University of Louisville Athletics staff months after Jurich’s father was suspended and then fired by the U of L Board of Trustees.
The departure of Mark Jurich, U of L’s senior associate athletic director for development, was confirmed by U of L sports information director Kenny Klein on Friday afternoon.
The other staffers that have left the university are associate athletic director of marketing Julianne Waldron and associate athletic director of human resources Kim Maffet, according to a Courier-Journal report. U of L said the move is part of a restructuring, but did not say if the trio parted ways voluntarily with the university. Mark Jurich posted on Twitter that he was let go by the university today.
More I think about it, more today's Louisville athletic department firings seem baffling. Vince Tyra is interim AD, theoretically assured of only two more months on the job. Does he really want to mess with people's lives as short-timer? Does he need to prove he's a tough guy?

UPDATING: UofL also has parted ways with Kim Maffet, associate AD for human resources, and Julianne Waldron, associate AD for marketing. A statement from Tom Jurich’s representative Bob Gunnell said all three were fired “as retaliation against Tom Jurich.” https://t.co/3nbul9SXhz
