John Calipari took a little jab at Duke’s recruiting pitch during his press conference this afternoon.
Calipari said he has some oceanfront property to sell recruits and families who buy the “our school and state will take care of you for the rest of your life” pitch.
Hamidou Diallo once said that was one of Coach K’s lines:
Cal said he's got some oceanfront property to sell recruits/families who buy the "our school and state will take care of you for the rest of your life" pitch. Which is a Duke line. Hamidou Diallo as a recruit said that was K's pitch.

Calipari on recruiting: "You'd who we've lost and how they've done in the NBA." Says he doesn't sell "you come here and the university and this state will take care of you the rest of your life. There's no socialism here."

Calipari also added that he isn’t sure if Kentucky will sign another player for 2018:
Cal says he doesn't know if UK will sign another 2018 recruit yet. "We don't get every kid" but the ones who come are the right ones. Said the guys he's gotten are "worth over a BILLION dollars."

Here's John Calipari, in what appears to be a reference to Duke's pitch, essentially saying he wants kids to come to Kentucky and learn to take care of themselves and their community, not the other way around. pic.twitter.com/miXSUCJrER
