From the University of Kentucky Athletics:
The UK swimming and diving teams were recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America with CSCAA Scholar All-America team honors for the 2010 spring semester.
The women had a team grade-point average of 3.26 in the spring semester. The men’s team average was 3.02.
“These athletes lead a demanding life and for them to win this academic honor in addition to all of their athletic accomplishments speaks volumes about their dedication and hard work,” head coach Gary Conelly said.
To earn CSCAA Scholar All-America honors a swimming and diving team must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA for the semester being recognized.
The College Swimming Coaches Association selects teams as scholar All-America teams after the fall and spring semester each year.
