Barker completed 12 of 18 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. After throwing the interception, Barker led his team back down the field for a touchdown in a two-minute drill situation.
Barker is in the number one position heading out of spring, but transfer Stephen Johnson is close behind.

“Yeah, he will be the starting quarterback right now,” Stoops said. “He came out of spring as the No. 1 quarterback.”

So, what does the “for now” mean? There’s a never-ending competition at every position, but I found this as a reminder things can change. Not trying to start a QB controversy, but there’s definitely fans that will find Stephen Johnson’s dual-threat style of play a bit more exciting.
