On this day 23 years ago, former Kentucky star Tony Delk had one of the most surprising 50-point games in NBA history.
On January 2, 2001, Delk exploded for 53 points on the Sacramento Kings.
Delk was 20-for-27 from the field in the game. He never scored over 30 points in any game during the rest of his career that spanned a decade. His career scoring average was 9.1 points per game.
