2. Why Kentucky? “It was a great fit for me. I love the facilities and the people here are really nice.”

3. What does being a Kentucky Wildcat mean to you? “Being a Kentucky Wildcat means a lot to me because I see how everyone is so spirited about being a UK fan and being part of this program. I’m honored to play at UK.”

4. What has most impressed you most about the UK coaching staff? “I’ve been impressed with how motivated they are to help us be great. I also like how they carry themselves and how they push us to be better people.”

5. What is the one thing about college life that has surprised you the most? “The freedom has probably surprised me the most. I can go wherever I want, whenever I want. That’s been so weird to me.”

6. Was coming from a great high school program to Kentucky an advantage for you? “I think it was a big advantage. My high school coach used to play in the WNBA and was a great collegiate player so she prepared us for what college life would be all about and I think I’m ready for the things that will be handed to me.”

8. Did you come from a sporting family and did that influence you to get involved with sports? “My parents played sports in high school and got me and my two siblings involved in sports to keep us out of trouble. My younger brother, Brandon, is involved in sports and my older sister, Courtney, will be a junior point guard at Stephen F. Austin in the fall.”

9. You’ve been in school for about a month now, how are classes going? “I like my classes. They are small and I’m doing okay in them. I’m so thankful for my tutors. They are one-on-one tutor sessions and they help me get ready for tests and papers.”

10. How have the coaches helped you with the transition from high school basketball to college? “They’ve talked to us about the transition and emphasized taking care of the little things. We have to be stronger and faster to be able to keep up with the pace of collegiate basketball.”
