In an interview with Five-Star Basketball, 2014 point guard Emmanuel Mudiay stated that he currently has an offer from Kentucky.
When asked about the schools he’s considering, he mentioned Kentucky, Arizona, Texas and Baylor, and explained that each of these schools has offered him.
While it’s not typical for Kentucky to offer a player so early, Mudiay may be a unique case. The 6’4″ point guard from Arlington, Texas is a consensus top five player in 2014 and is, at worst, the second best point guard in the class.
Mudiay is a big-time combo guard and he says that his game has led him to be compared to both Tyreke Evans and Derrick Rose.
It sounds like Mudiay could be a perfect fit in Calipari’s line of illustrious point guards.
