It’s now official.. We’re reloaded! Scout.com released their final rankings of this years recruiting classes. Kentucky for the second straight year, walks away with the number one spot.
With all the “one and done” talk at the beginning of this year’s peak recruiting period, some may have wondered if we could ever replace the talent that we lost. Well, you can never replace the personalities, Calipari did a great job at the talent…
or a second straight year Kentucky is at the top of the national team rankings. Coach John Calipari has four five-star prospects and a couple four-star prospects joining the 2010-2011 roster. Kanter is a Turkish import who dazzled during the Hoops Summit. Fellow five-star standout Knight should be able to step right in and take over the controls of the dribble-drive offense. A highly-skilled, left-handed power forward, Jones fits in perfectly with Calipari’s system. Lamb, the fourth five-star prospect, is a reliable scorer and defender. Poole gives the Wildcats an athletic slasher on the wing who can get hot from 3-point range, and Vargas, a fellow four-star prospect, will provide frontline depth.
Here’s the guys that made this all possible..
PF Enes Kanter (3)
PG Brandon Knight (6)
PF Terrence Jones (13)
SG Doron Lamb (21)
SF Stacey Poole (33 )
C Eloy Vargas
