UK Target Commits to Memphis

A mere week ago, quarterback Will Gross of Melrose High School (Tenn.) called Kentucky his favorite, despite having Patrick Towles already committed for 2012.

Fast-forward a week and everything has changed.

This afternoon on the Chris Vernon Show, Gross called in to say he was committing to Larry Porter and the Memphis Tigers.

There's not that much of a big deal to this, but just a week ago he had UK as the favorite. That was a quick turnaround for the four-star quarterback.

Either way, great pickup for Memphis.

Being from the city, I always anticipated that Gross would stay home to represent his hometown Tigers.
