UK Hoops Loses Star Freshman, Assistant Coach and Two Recruits in Two Days

I don’t know what is going on with the UK Hoops program but I think we can safely say that something is not exactly right.

Six players have opted to transfer over the last year, with the latest being star freshman Batouly Camara. Camara averaged 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds as a freshman last season. She was consistently in the starting lineup near the end of the season.

Since 2015, the program has also lost Chrishae Rowe (dismissed by Mitchell), Linnae Harper (transferred to OSU), Morgan Rich (transferred to Oklahoma), Kyvin Goodin-Rogers (transferred to WKU) and Ivana Jakubcova.

Assistant coach Tamika Williams-Jeter also resigned yesterday.

If that isn’t bad enough, prized recruits Lindsey Corsaro and Madison Treece have decommitted in the past two days. Both players are rated as top 100 recruits with Corsarao being considered a 5-star guard.

Matthew Mitchell needs to offer an explanation as soon as possible.

UPDATE: Mitchell will meet with the media tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
