UK Gets Outplayed By Baylor, Loses at Home 64-55

In what could be dubbed as one their worst-played games of the past three years, the Kentucky Wildcats allowed an unranked Baylor Bears team to sneak out of Rupp Arena with a 64-55 win, snapping Kentucky’s 55 game winning steak at Rupp Arena and handing John Calipari his first loss in the hallowed arena.

Kentucky was done in in more than one facet of the game. Not only did they commit 16 turnovers, they shot an abysmal 29.2% from the field, including 4-of-22 from three point range.

Archie Goodwin led the team with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists before fouling out with minutes left in the game. Alex Poythress had 13 points and six board. Nerlens Noel missed a lot of shots down low (3-for-15 from the field), but had 8 points and a career high 17 rebounds. Julius Mays had six points, both on three pointers. Willie Cauley-Stein played with tremendous hustle, but only had six points to go along with his seven rebounds. Kyle Wiltjer had three points on a 1-for-11 shooting day, and sophomore point guard Ryan Harrow finished with only two points.
