Reports are coming out today that Tyler Ulis has cut his list of schools to three. Ulis has dropped USC from contention for his services, leaving Kentucky, Michigan State, and Iowa as his top three schools.

Ulis is set to make an official visit to Kentucky this weekend. He visited Iowa earlier this week and will visit Michigan State on September 6-7, and then his final visit will be to Kentucky on September 8-9.

Ulis, a four star point guard from Chicago Heights, Illinois is the 38th ranked player in the 2014 class according to ESPN. Ulis is expected to make a decision shortly after his officials visits this weekend. He could possibly commit by September 14. Like I’ve said before it is always good to get the final visit before a player commits.

This kid is going to be a fun player to watch, although I’m not so sure about him being able to carry the load at UK. I wish him well, wherever he goes.

I think he will pick UK and be a tough PG along with a tough sophomore Dominique Hawkins. Our PG situation is AWESOME because Hawkins will only improve a lot, Ulis will be awesome, and we will keep them both into the next season (2015-2016), where there are no elite PGs in that graduating high school class (2015). If we land Ulis, we will be just fine!
