The Sporting News Ranks Andrew Harrison #2 Point Guard

The Sporting News has started naming the top players at each position and Andrew Harrison is ranked #2 behind Oklahoma State’s Marcus Smart.

Here is the description of why Andrew is #2:

It would be disingenuous to ignore the buzz that Harrison and his brother might be difficult teammates, but it would be downright foolish to ignore that coach John Calipari has resolved far more difficult circumstances. (He got DeMarcus Cousins to focus on winning. Any questions?) Harrison is an elite talent who’ll be surrounded by elite talent. One of the few real questions in where to rank him is how much of the glory will be directed his way.

when someone is ranked number 1 and than decides to go to kentucky for some odd reason they always seem to rank them lower, there are a lot of haters out there, go big blue lets bring home another championship

Jason, Andrew isn’t ranked any lower. He was ranked number 1 point guard coming out of high school and still is. Sporting News rates him number 2 point guard in “college”, behind Smart, which is being very generous considering he hasn’t play a minute in college yet.
