Terrence Jones is NBA D-League Player of the Week
Terrence Jones represented the Rockets in the D-League game, and USBasket named him the D-League Player of the Week.
20-year old forward Terrence Jones (205-F-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Rio Grande VV and receives a USBasket.com Player of the Week award for round 38.
He had the game-high 27 points adding seven rebounds and two assists for Rio Grande VV in his team’s victory, helping them to crush Maine RC (#3, 17-12) with 18-point margin 113-95. The game was between two of the league’s top four teams. Rio Grande VV maintains the 2nd position in D-League league. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Rio Grande VV will need more victories to improve their 16-9 record. In the team’s last game Jones had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Rio Grande VV, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Kentucky graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is in league’s top in points (7th best: 19.7ppg), rebounds (6th best: 9.6rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 54.0% FGP.
