TE Alex Smith Expected to Sign with Cats Wednesday

Many sources are reporting this afternoon that Alex Smith, a Tight End out of Cincinnati, Ohio (Lakota West) is expected to announce tomorrow that he will sign with Coach Joker Phillips and the Kentucky Wildcats. Smith is a 4 star according to Rivals and originally committed to the North Carolina Tar Heels on October 2 of this past year. His commitment was an up and down process that had rumors over the year of him committing to everyone from the Wildcats at one point to Cincinnati, his home town school. He is the first major commit of what will hopefully be a great signing day for first year head coach Joker Phillips.
