• If you haven't heard already, Nation of Blue is in the news today. The topic of conversation is an article in the Chicago Sun-Times, and it involved today's Morning Drive. If you haven't listened to the Morning Drive, Fake Billy Clyde and myself discuss Anthony Davis and him telling Scout.com that he had made his decision.
I for one took that as an opportunity to try and find out from a couple of sources I have used in the past, that have a very high success rate, and asked them if they have heard any chatter about Anthony's final decision. They both told me he was going to Kentucky. I mentioned this on the Morning Drive. I have never posted any article confirming this news on the site. I have also never heard anything as outlandish as Kentucky having to pay any type of money for any player. Why would Kentucky have to do that when you have kids trying to recruit themselves to Lexington? **The Sun Times has now edited the part of story that said Kentucky paid $200,000 to get Davis**
In any event, if Michael O’Brien of the Chicago Sun-Times would like to call me or send me an email please do. I have been wrong in the past about recruits destinations, but I will be very surprised if I am this time. We are by no means experts, and have never claimed to be. We are a bunch of UK fans that love what we do, and that is to supply the best information for Kentucky fans when we get it.

Here is a screen shot of original article

You should take down the links to the sun-times web site and just leave up the copy of the article (I heard they've already changed it). You're giving these jerks free hits on their web site.

We've always read KSR and still do.. We said nothing of the $200K and the actual article doesn't say that either. There's even a post on KSR that points out that the Chicago newspaper was leaning on us. We're by no means experts, but using us as "the Kentucky blog" to support his craziness (trying to be nice) doesn't make us happy.

      GO CATS!

Can you believe the nerve of the CST. There they were in the windy city, in the blistering summer, trying to figure out how to get the ball of fire away from the NYT and I'm sure they call up old hairman himself, Turde and ask what they can do to show they got the right stuff too and Turde plants this one in their ear. Of course, he probably consulted with his friends further south to see what he could really come up with since his old pal has been plastered across the papers in the Commonwealth for the past few weeks and he can't bow down and kiss his naval ring because it would not look good in court. So what do they do? They take an innocent kid and throw him under the tracks. I can't believe that low down, ignorant, scum sucking poor excuse of a journalist would actually do that do a kid. Who in the name of Adolph Rupp does he think he is? Who is his editor to allow something like that to be posted? I saw the original article before they took it down, I have a copy of it, you can still find it on the internet. I hope and pray some lawyer will sue the living day lights and night lights out of Michael O’Brien for the young man. I know a letter has been sent I believe by the University. There has to be a stop to all of this. You can't just go and make up stories and post them when young people's lives and futures are at stake. Yes, I'm mad and yes I'm telling you exactly how I feel. After the trial this week in Louisville and this there are two things that are so lacking in today's society, INTEGRITY AND ETHICS. 49.5% of the people don't know how to spell the two words and 49.5% don't know what they mean. Now, please play My Old Kentucky Home for me so I can feel better and sleep better tonight. Thank you. GO CATS!

Oh yea, I know they blamed this on the NOB and I KNOW, that is not true! NOB is not responsible!

LindaS - It is "throw him under the Bus" not the tracks!

Wherever Calipari goes - he screws the school with scandal! It is a farce that the NCAA allows him to still coach... He put three programs on probation and gets $6 million from Kentucky... how desparate can you get - and WIN at ANY COST! Even if it is a Rent-a-Team - how many graduate under Calipari... 0%, 2%, 5%...

      SAD Very SAD!!!

You should get out more, or at least learn about the history of Kentucky basketball. Finally, if you don't think Calipari is dirty, you're whistling past the graveyard.
