Russell (Class of 2014, Montverde Academy, Fla.), a native of Louisville, has dreamed of playing in front of family and friends at home in the state of Kentucky, whether it is UK or Louisville.

"It would be a blessing to play for Kentucky," Russell said enthusiastically. "They ...

The state of Tennessee isn't necessarily known for the basketball or basketball players it produces, yet night in and night out fans from across the state fill the gym of Christ Presbyterian Academy. Not only is it because this is one of the best teams in the state, but the school also plays host to one of the top players in the country.

Earlier in the week, John Calipari ventured out to Las Vegas, Nevada to watch Shabazz Muhammad (Class of 2012, Bishop Gorman HS) and fellow 2012 star, Anthony Bennett.

This afternoon, Nation of Blue caught up with Muhammad's father, Ron Homes, to update his recruitment and how the game went with Calipari in town.

"It was nice to catch-up with Coach [John] Calipari," Holmes began. "He was on one side of the gym and I was on the other, but he did get a chance to say 'hello' to me. He was focused on the game, so we didn't do much talking."

For the past several weeks, Holmes has been talking ...

In fact, Sweat is so excited he already has his calendar ...

For the past few months, the biggest questions around Nerlens Noel has not been his game, but whether which class he would be a part of. Talks of the star shot-blocker switching to 2012 have been at a premium, and it looks like those talks are true.

According to Dave Telep, Noel will re-classify to 2012 and will become be in a class alongside Shabazz Muhammad, Anthony Bennett, and other great senior players. ...

After a long and stressful process, many college prospects are ready to put the pen to paper and end the long stressful process of recruiting. While there hasn't been a lot of going on as of late for Kentucky, this Wednesday will gave many recruits, as well as coaches a chance to breathe a sigh of relief as to know that the race for the first Wednesday in February is complete.
