At 9:00 PM tonight, the CATS will look to continue their winning ways against the Crimson Tide of Alabama. Anthony Grant is in his first year as the Crimson Tide’s coach and he’s definitely had his work cut out for him. Anything can happen in the SEC, but if the CATS come out and play like they did Saturday, it could get ugly fast!
With only two players averaging in double figures, the Crimson tide look a lot like UK did last year. Oh, but it’s worse… Torrance and Green are not even close to being UK’s Patterson and Meeks. Then again, it’s a conference game and anything can happen.
In the pregame interview (video below), Calipari said his stomach was hurting after watching video of Alabama play. He also feels that Anthony Grant has Alabama going in the right direction. With College Gameday on Saturday and Tennessee on Saturday, this could very easily turn itself into a trap game. It's definitely ours to lose, and Coach Cal is doing his best to keep our team focused.What to watch for…….
Impact Player – Patrick Patterson: He continues to improve each and every game. It’s also funny that I said he’s improving as if he’s not performed in the past. It seems that all of Nation of Blue is waiting on Patterson to play to his potential. Today could be the game.
Who’s going to get the PT? – It seems Darius Miller has traded places with DeAndre Liggins and I’m not sure if he’ll ever make it back into the starting lineup. With a team like this, you have to perform whenever you have the opportunity.
Player of The Game – John Wall! We all know Cousins is going to do his thing and I really think Patterson is going to turn it on tonight, but it seems like John Wall is getting that spring back into his step. I just have a feeling this could be an above average game for Wall.
