Have a couple of quick hitters from over the weekend that I didn’t get to hit on due to a busy family weekend.
It was announced today that Patrick Towles is week to week due to a high ankle sprain he suffered during the Mississippi State game. Joker sounded today that if he is healthy later on, he could possibly play. He also said they could hold him out and apply for a medical redshirt. My guess is if they can get anyone healthy they better not rule anyone out of playing due to having so many lame players walking around the Nutter Training Facility. It is getting to look like a bad sequel to Saving Private Ryan, but someone needs to Save Joker.
A host of Kentucky Basketball recruits visited Florida this weekend, which included Julius Randle, 2014 Dakari Johnson, and 2015 Karl Towns. The only thing I heard from the visit was Randle had a great time and I saw a picture of an alligator he tweeted out. One would like to think that Kentucky is in great shape with Randle, and with the Harrison Twins being greater than Kasey Hill and Chris Walker, I’ll take Calipari’s chances over Billy Donovan any day.
Eric Bledsoe got off to a great start in the LA Clippers preseason opener as he scored 25 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals as the Clips lost to the Nuggets 106-104. Bledsoe could be looking at a breakout season as the Clippers have turned into a playoff team.
Now that it is getting closer to basketball season, you can expect a ton of new songs and videos on youtube. Here is the first one for the new season. Whatcha think?
