Mike Gundy Mentioned by Sources as a Possible Splash Hire for Kentucky Football
You have heard all the names of the possibles for the Kentucky Football coaching job, but it looks like you can add another one to the list.
This from 24/7 Sports:
Kentucky – Multiple sources tell us that AD Mitch Barnhart would like to make a splash hire with someone like Mike Gundy. It’s more likely the Wildcats will end up with someone like David Cutcliffe or San Jose State’s Mike MacIntyre. Tommy Tuberville seemed to be in the mix prior to his “slap” of a GA Saturday.
I don’t know if any of this is true or not, but I think it would be a stretch if Gundy left his alma mater to come to Kentucky.
I am almost sure we won’t hear anything official till after the Tennessee game, but it sure is interesting how many names can be involved with the job at Kentucky.
