• A short time ago, Coach Cal traveled to Word of God Academy to watch Joseph Uchebo work out and it looked like Kentucky was interested in the 6'8" Nigerian who had just decommitted from N.C. State.

    I guess looks are deceiving.

I spoke with Uchebo today and I asked him if he had heard from Kentucky since Coach Calipari watched him play.

"I have not heard from Kentucky yet," said Uchebo. "They haven't been in contact."

Uchebo did visit Charlotte this past weekend, and the visit sounded like it went well.

"I liked the visit at Charlotte." "The coaching staff was really nice, and they took me around the campus and to all the classrooms."

Joesph also said that Indiana and Auburn has been talking to him as well.

Regarding future visits, he said, "I haven't scheduled any yet, but plan on taking some soon."

When asked about a timeline on picking as school he said, "I plan on making a decision as soon as possible."

I also asked if he was on target for qualifying for the 2011 season and he said, "Yes, Sir."

I wouldn't expect Joseph to have any ACC schools in the mix, because he told me he can not go to any of them because he would have to sit out a year.

"I want to play right away, and not sit out a year, so I will not be going to any ACC school," said Uchebo.

It looks like Kentucky didn't think Uchebo would be a good fit into their 2011 plans, especially since there hasn't been any contact at all since Cal made his visit.

It sounds like Charlotte, Indiana, Auburn, and maybe a couple of mid major schools will have the best shot of landing Joseph Uchebo.

If this guy doesn't want to leave after one year he'll never play at UK.

I know your frustrated about the "one and done" player like the rest of us but keep in mind that not every player coming to UK is a one year recruit. Most however may be until the rule is changed.

"I know your? frustrated...." I thought it was "you're."

Anyway I'm not frustrated. As I have stated before, UK basketball is a perogative to me. Not a necessity. I love UK but they're not the foremost priority in my life. I do not eat, sleep, drink and
talk UK basketball every waking moment. There are many other things more important. Like being
      a good citizen of the _ _ _.

No title days are here again,
But we have the best recruits again,
And surely that's all we have again,
No title days are here again.

Good grief no. All I have is a GED and about 1 1/2 years of college. My grammar isn't perfect either. Far from it.

Once upon a time in a Galaxy far, far away there was a creature called a "Troll." Are you one of his descendants? The big ugly kind that sits under a bridge and dares 3 Billy goats to cross? Oh, I forgot, you've never heard of "The Three Billy Goats Gruff." Have you? And here I thought you attended school. Well just proves how wrong one can be.

Auf wieder sehen, ach mein Feind.

LOL, it's cool. The people that search for every grammer mistake needs a life or they have OCD.
