It was sloppy, but I will say it was efficient as the Cats outworked the Crimson Tide. Lets take a look at the boxscore:

    • For the first time in a while DeMarcus Cousins wasn't the player of the game. John Wall took over for his Alabama born teammates on the scoring side of things for once. He led all scorers with 22 points and also had 10 rebounds. Turnovers are still high with Wall, having 6 with only 2 assists. Didn't matter tonight though. Wall has a reason to dance after tonight's performance.
    • DeAndre Liggins continues to impress, logging 26 minutes and finished with 8 pts and 7 rebounds. With Dodson throwing a goosegg up on the board, Liggins could find himself in the starting lineup before it is all said and done.
    • Although PPat only had 9 points, it felt like more than that. He seems more active to me. He did have only 4 rebounds again. He has a double double coming, lets hope it is this Saturday.
    • Eric Bledsoe shot less, and was alot more efficient with the basketball having 4 assists and only 3 turnovers. He is such a solid player.
    • Coach Cal usually says in his pregame talk with the players that he wants to win the rebounding war + 10. They got 1 over outrebounding the Tide 40-29.
    • We did a very good job getting to the foul line 31 times, where Alabama only went 10. I wish we would make 70% every game, I would feel a lot more confidant about winning on the road.
Good win. I felt like we let them hang around too much. If they make a couple of shots down the stretch it is a barnburner. Alabama missed way too many shots to have a chance to upset us, but I don't like giving teams confidance by letting them hang around. I am sure Coach will adjust and conquer. At least I hope he does! Go Cats!

The Cats played sloppy tonight, but it shows that they hold alot of promise to still win when not playing their best! We are gonna be in the tournament this year, hands down. Hopefully we will turn it on and get better while we finish the SEC and win all of those contests. Then, when it's time for the tournament, we could be the hottest team in, and still improving throughout.

Watching Kansas play proves 2 things to me:

      1 They are very good.
      2 They can be beat..

Same thing as Syracuse, 'Nova, West Virginia, Purdue, Georgtown, and especially the Dook Blue Devils. Haha, i made a funny.

The point is, UK has the potential, probably more than any other team when it comes to raw talent. Disciplined? Let's hope they lock it down!

Still havent seen a 100% solid performance this year, and thats actually a good thing in this case!

      Go CATS!

They seemed to lose interest again. Impressed me that Cuz played 31 minutes, thought he would have more points then he did, but another double-double. Wall a double-double and DeAndre had a nice set of stats. I don't want them to just coast through these games. I want to see the intensity for 40 minutes, but I'll settle for 37. The talent on this team scares me, it has got to scare Coach Cal too. Who would have thought we would be 23-1 after being in the cellar last year. Love my cats, but they have to put more 'oomph' into it. GO CATS! 23-1 win #2011 AND PLEASE NO BLACK UNIFORMS!

I dont care if the UNI's are black or not, just dont make them look horribly bad.

What if they just broke out the old school style of KY's uni's- basic of the basic- just sponsored by lebron james? lol

i wouldnt mind seeing the really old school wildcat emblem on them, but then again if its UK, i'm gonna like it no matter what. always have. except those backgammon shorts they used to have in the early 90's... ugh!

We almost play like a NBA team it seems - lazy defense, slow moving offense, and 1-on-1 scoring.

I wish Meeks had stayed though, because that would get these teams out of the zone as its keeping our offense from scoring as much as they can. Also the lazy defense is keeping 10-15 points off the scoreboard a game.

I have to say that the inbound defense eat me up the most tonight as our guys did not defend the basket on them.

But hey, a win is a win.

if meeks was still here, you could bet we would still be unbeaten, and playing much, much better ball, especially on offense.
