• This football season hasn't exactly gone the direction UK fans had hoped. First, the team squeaks out a win over what we now know is a pretty bad Western Kentucky team. Then it takes a second half comeback to overcome Central Michigan, who the following week got pounded by Western Michigan....I mean Western Michigan?

Then a UK fan's worst dream came true this past Saturday with a loss to the dirty birds of Louisville. A game where Kentucky had a chance to win, but in a way felt like they just laid an egg. After the game fans were grumbling about the play calling, the offensive line, defensive line, receivers, etc.... it was just one negative comment after the other. This is what happens after a loss, you dissect each and every bad play in the game and point it out as the problem. The same calls happen in basketball season and often make me cringe.

This time around, I definitely see where the fans have a point. All around, with the exception of a few bright spots (Clemons, Tydlaka, Guy and Trevathan) the play has been dismal. So I decided, it's time to turn this around and bring some positivity back to the program.

First, be very thankful Josh Clemons is on our side. He is going to be a start and if our O line can get it together sometime soon, all hope is not lost.

Second, Regardless of what some fans might say, I've seen improvement from Morgan Newton since game one. Again, his main struggle is time which is not his fault, I swear when the ball is snapped, you can see the look in his eyes like "Oh Crap!"

Winston Guy has improved tremendously since last season now that he is in a spot where he feels more comfortable. His confidence is up and I am very proud of him this season!

This Saturday, many Wildcat fans might feel a sense of doom with Florida coming into Commonwealth. I have decided to go into the game with a positive attitude and look for improvements in the small things. Maybe, just maybe, our boys will surprise us this weekend.

Come on BBN, what positivity can you bring to the stands this Saturday?

The positivity is seeing if the loss to little brother woke us up. Sure a W is a W and a L is an L, but sometimes teams only look at the W and don't see how ugly it was to get (WKU and CMU). Maybe that L staring them in the face will cause the O-line to figure out they need to block people, and the coaching staff to decide not to run it between the tackles on 3rd and long (I mean sure you get your best player on the field next down [Tydlaka], but it's not something Big Blue Nation wants to see)

I want to see how Joker responds to the heat he has to be feeling. I'm not saying he is the wrong man for the job. But I'm saying that the window he has to prove that it wasn't a mistake naming him the successor to Rich Brooks is closing pretty quickly.

Lets see a enthusiastic effort, CATS. Even if it is a good losing effort, Big Blue Nation will support you as they always have.

Thank you for the good article about our football team.

I believe we have a really good football team and any team that beats us is just better than us on that given day.

This week we have another chance to prove how good we are.

What have you seen through the first 3 games that makes you believe we even have a decent football team? Really good is stretching it.
