Hiring Bobby Petrino Could Put Kentucky in Great Shape with James Quick

Trinity vs. St. X. KHSAA 3rd Round Playoff Game

The top recruit in the state of Kentucky has put his full support of Kentucky hiring former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino.

Trinity’s James Quick, the most coveted wide receiver in the state, spoke to Steve Jones of the Courier Journal and says if Kentucky was to pull the trigger on Petrino, they might have a chance to land him.

Asked specifically about his thoughts on Petrino as a possible replacement, Quick said: “I think he would fit the job because he’s a great guy and a great coach. As far as him going to Kentucky, that would be a good fit for me if he was there.”

Could a senior in high school have any influence on the next coach at Kentucky?

If you get about 22 more talented players like him, I say yes.
