There was a report a week ago that Greek 7 footer Georgios Papagiannis had Kentucky on his list along with St. John’s and NC State.
Even though he didn’t mention it in the initial report, Oregon is also considered in the mix.
There was then a report from Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio that Kentucky was not interested.
Hearing that Greek center Georgios Papagiannis is not an option for UK in 2015 class…so my inability to pronounce his name is irrelevant

Papagiannis didn’t know this though.
Also, if Kentucky's no longer interested in Georgios Papagiannis (as has been reported), he doesn't know it yet. Said he'd yet to hear that.

Now that I have you caught up, yesterday there was a report from PackInsider.com that Papagiannis could be making decision soon to play college basketball or not.
I spoke with the father of 2015 Center prospect Georgios Papagiannis, Kanellos Papagiannis, and he informed me that Georgios would be sitting down and meeting with his professional club team Panathinaikos today or tomorrow. After meeting with them he should be able to make his decision on whether or not he will play college basketball. He also informed me that NC State was still recruiting the 2015 big man very hard. The world has been waiting in anticipation of Papagiannis’ decision, and it looks like they should know by mid-week whether or not he decides to stay in Greece and play professionally, or bring his skills to a college in the United States.
Many seem to think that NC State and Oregon is the logical choice for the big man, but St. John’s is also still in the mix.
There hasn’t been news of any Kentucky involvement since the report by Jones, so until there is something out there, it looks like Kentucky is out of the race.
