Our new head coach managed to to put the CATS back on top, kiss babies in every county of the state (it seemed like it anyway), and he even managed to put recording artist Drake right in the middle of the madness. Drake is an emerging Rap artist who loves the Wildcats. Unfortunately, not all rap artist feel the same way Drake does.

The 14th selection in the NBA draft from the Kentucky Wildcats, Patrick Patterson! Boy, that sounds good doesn't it. The Rockets were lucky that he went that low because most Kentucky Wildcat fans know they got a super star. Patterson showed that tonight on the court for the first time, too. He made his NBA debut tonight in the Las Vegas NBA Summer League when they opened against the Phoenix Suns. ...

As everyone knows, the Kentucky Basketball family lost a legend yesterday. Melvin Turpin was found dead in his home, apparently committing suicide. Melvin Turpin was not only known for his height and basketball ability, but was also known for his prowess of eating. Turpin, along with Sam Bowie, were the first to be known as the Twin Towers. Two 7 footers in the paint at the same time was a lethal combination vs. SEC opponents.

It's just been confirmed that the Fayette County Coroner has stated that former Kentucky Wildcats Basketball star Melvin Turpin has committed suicide Thursday at his Lexington home. It's hard to believe that "Dinner Bell Mel" is no longer with us.

One of John Wall's duties as the #1 draft pick in this years NBA draft includes attending the Washington Wizards Basketball Camp for kids. It's great to hear John thank God for his NBA opportunity. He also encourages kids to finish school and treasure the time thay have with their family.

Everyone should know about Tony Wroten Jr. by now. He is one of the top guards in the nation and he has Kentucky and Washington as his top two choices. I think I have heard this before, haven't you? Well, Seatownsports.net blogged about Wroten recently and discussed his choice between Washington and "east coast colleges" trying to recruit him.
