Could Shabazz Muhammad be leaning towards Kentucky?

If you read this excerpt from a Yahoo.com story about Shabazz Muhammad, you sure could come to the conclusion that Kentucky has a great shot of landing him.

Rivals.com lists Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Memphis, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Southern Cal and Muhammad’s UNLV as the top schools recruiting him. But Kentucky could emerge as the front-runner because of coach John Calipari’s track record in helping players get to the NBA. In recent years, Calipari, who was previously at Memphis, had guards Rose, Evans, Wall and Knight ready for the NBA in just one year.

“I don’t know who all I’m going to visit yet, but I’m going to be at UK’s Midnight Madness already – the rest I’m going to figure out,” Muhammad said. “I talk to John all the time about UK. Tyreke and I even talk to Derrick Rose all the time, too. I talk to them about Coach Cal and how he is. All these guys give me good information, and I’m just taking it all in like a sponge.

“You look at the guys of [Calipari’s] that have been drafted, [Nos.] 1, 2 and all over the board. Coach Cal is a great coach and he gets guys to where they want to be.”

This is the first pro-Kentucky article I have seen concerning Shabazz and I am sure Kentucky fans are definitely liking the sound of it(I know I do).

I love the fact that Cal's ex-players are in his ear, and if you go and read the Yahoo article Shabazz definitely wants the one and done rule to stay in effect...

After reading this article, what do you think the chances of landing Muhammad are for Kentucky?

i think evans and rose r not being true to their school by helping him to kentucky not loyal at all!!!!!!!!!!!!

In today's time, players are loyal to their coach before the university...that is unless you go to Kentucky....

Hahaha, love it...it has to suck to be a fan of any other college basketball team. Shabazz is on his way. so are Coleman, Goodwin, and the number 1 recruiting classes for the next 10 years!!!

Corny...Does Memphis not have a fansite? No Championship at Memphis either. MVP is a wierdo who doesn't even appear to enjoy the game. I feel sorry for DRose when I watch him play, and I feel sorry for Memphis folks who can't get over the fact that Cal is gone 3 years later. Cal is the man, but move on, troll.
