Bennett and Muhammad will be a UK vs. UNLV Battle

Mike Miller, over at Beyond the Arc, touches on the recruitment of Shabazz Muhammad and Anthony Bennett. Two players from Nevada who will be major pieces for any program they choose (forgive me for stating the obvious).

We all know the details of Muhammad's recruitment, but Bennet is another story. Miller says about Bennett:
Kentucky will be a huge presence in Bennett’s recruitment until the end, but UNLV fans have to like their position with both Bennett and Muhammad. The longer the season progresses and the more success that UNLV has on the hardwood figures to be to their benefit in both recruitments against the blue bloods of college basketball.

Another factor in the situation is the recent commitment of Khem Birch to UNLV. Miller states that signing Birch likely puts the Running Rebels even more into the status of a serious player for landing his commitment.

That would be great to land both of these players. they both have said they want to go to a team that is going to compete for a national championship. sorry but i do not think we will see unlv in a final game sometime soon so if they just look at it my way then they will both be smart and commit to the best basketball team in the nation so we can get #9. yes i said #9 bc we are getting #8 this year. go big blue!!!!!

I agree with the threat above totally. If you want to argue with someone go to the threat "UNVL In the eyes of Shabazz." We apprently have a guy over there that thinks UNLV would beat UK because they have a chip on their shoulder. He also continued to say that if Shabazz goes to UK than he would just be "ANOTHER GUY" which I totally disagree with more. If they mean what they say, and that going to a team that can compete for a national championship is a major priority, than UK is their best bet by far. I have nothing against UNLV, but I'm sorry there is no comparison between UK and UNLV. The only thing UNLV has for them now is there on a nice winning streak, and fellow Canadian Birch transferred there.
