Thread: Cobbins Probably Not Going to Play this Week

With all the talk yesterday that freshman quarterback Bookie Cobbins could possibly burn his redshirt 5 games into the season this Saturday at South Carolina, it sounds totally opposite today after practice.

First off, Randy Sanders said Cobbins "didn't show much spark" in at quarterback in camp and Tee Martin said he was a project at wide receiver.

It doesn't sound like Cobbins will see the field this week, but Tee Martin did say they would use the bye week to work with him at wide receiver.

The big question is what do the fans think?

Do you want Cobbins on the field no matter if he is ready or not?

Why burn his redshift halfway through a lousy season? Does anybody really think that one player would make that kind of difference this year? The OL won't block better. The receivers won't drop fewer balls. Let him mature and learn the system this year and play next year.
